O (Venerable) Messenger! Motivate the believers to fight (i.e. prepare them to fight for the Truth). If there are twenty of you firm and steadfast (in the event of war), they will overpower two hundred (disbelievers) and if (one) hundred of you are (steadfast), they will overpower (one) thousand of the disbelievers because they do not have the concept (of the Hereafter and its great reward. So, they cannot fight with that zeal and enthusiasm which the believers are charged with, because they have sold their souls for Paradise and the pleasure of Allah.)
